Statistic Observation on In-patient (1967-1969)

Abstract
|
|
|
A statistic survey was made on 1,127 in-patient during the period of recent
3 years(19674969) in the Ob-Gyn. Dept. of Presbyterian Hospital Taegu.
1) The total number of in-patient(Gyne.) during the period was 1,253(2.7%) of all ;out-patients of ´Ob-Gyne. department.
2) The monthly average of in-patient was 35. a tendency that Oct.-Dec. had less patients and March the most was noted.
3) The average duration of admission per patient was 7.9 days.
4) Ratio of in patient, urban against rural was 63.4 % : 36.6%.
5) The highest age group was 31-35 which occupied 19.1% of all in-patient. 6) 333(28.4%) of them had Menarche at 16.
7) Diagnostic classification of chief causative disease showed Sq.cell Ca. of the cervix (18.9%), ectopic gestation 140(12.6 0), uterine myoma 105(9.3%)+ ovarian tumor 86(7.6%).
8) Operative procedures mostly used were total hysterectomy 31.4%(313) salpingectomy 12.7%(126).
9) The chief causative disease for total hysterectomy was uterine mayoma 103; (32.9%) and chronic P.I.D. 31(9.9%), the second.
10) . The age distribution for Sq. cell Ca. of -the cervix showed 52(24.8%) of them were between. 41-45. By stage it was 11, 95(45.2%) that was most frequent. 11) The stage distribution of those Sq. cell Ca. of the cervix urban against rural showed that stage 1-11 in urban and 11-111 in rural cases prerailed.
12) Ratio of Sq. cell Ca. of the cervix against corpus Ca. was 100: 1.
13) Among the 24 cases of chorion epitheliomas about 113 had past history of hydatid form mole.
